Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, Republic of Korea Mr. Inje Park is one of the most distinguished lawyers who have contributed to the promotion of human rights and the development of democracy in the Republic of Korea. After passing the National Judicial Examination in 1982, Mr. Park has dedicated his legal career not only towards the defense of rights for consumers, workers, and women, but also the development of democracy, the protection of the environment and the fight against corruption. Mr. Park held numerous important positions, such as the human rights commissioner, director of public relations for the Korean Bar Association, commissioner of the Citizens’ Coalition for Economic Justice, and the commissioner of the Korean Independent Commissioner Against Corruption (KICAC). Since March 2008, Mr. Kim is the vice chairman and secretary-general of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC), which was created through the incorporation of the KICAC, the Ombudsman of Korea, and the Administrative Appeals Commission. The ACRC is Korea's national anti-corruption body committed to fighting corruption and addressing public complaints.
